Musica

Music: The word music comes from the Greek mousikê (tekhnê) by way of the Latin musica. It is ultimately derived from mousa, the Greek word for muse. In ancient Greece, the word mousike was used to mean any of the arts or sciences governed by the Muses. Later, in Rome, ars musica embraced poetry as well as instrument-oriented music.



   I have always loved music. But it has become even more evident this past year just how much it actually means to me. So, in honor of music, I have listed some of my all time favorites. These particular songs speak to me in a way that I cant describe. Some of them you may think, "I just dont understand what she gets out of that song". Well, thats because ( I believe) our musical preferences are a direct result from our life experiences...what we've endured, what we've seen and most importantly what we've FELT.
